An absolute must in Big Bear is to visit Tropicali for lunch.
This place is not overrated and is voted the best Poke in California by Yelp.
They also offer chicken and beef.
This is a little hole in the wall perfect for lunch. Closed Tues and Wed.

On a Friday or Sat night

Visit the Pines Tavern (not to be mistaken by the fine dining restaurant, Pines Lakefront).
Delicious pizza, burgers and ribs. Vegan options too!  In the Summer, sit by the water outside and enjoy the music.  In the Winter, sit inside and enjoy the tunes of Mike Cross on the piano. Kids are okay. They are not permitted in the bar.
Call ahead with questions.
